Hi, I'm Jelena Uppendahl. Oklahoma handed me an imagination that entertained me for hours and could probably be attributed to the mixture of sweet air, acres of pasture, and the slow, steady days that baked my hair until it changed from brunette to blond. I played in my grandparent’s pasture and in the grassy alleyways near my family’s home. The big sky seemed to encourage deep thought.

You might ask, where do you go most often for inspiration? I go to Boston --the land of Longfellow, Emerson, Thoreau, and Alcott. I make my yearly homage to Boston and its neighboring towns for the revitalization and encouragement needed to explore life through writing. That's not all, people also inspire me and there are so many stories to be written. Thank you for being who you are. YOU inspire me the most.
